Are You There, Sloane? is moody, atmospheric and dark (mostly). There's witchcraft, Tarot, séances, nightmares, strange noises in the walls, midnight walks through misty woods... You name it, if it's gothic, it's there. Ok, there's no abandoned castles or abbeys... but you get the idea.

The gothic is my favorite genre. It's my happy place. I love ghosts and the full moon. I read Tarot cards and I would absolutely spend the night in a haunted house.

But Sloane isn't just gothic in the sense of setting and vibes. The reader is forced to look at the very gothic nature of being human. Of being haunted by your past; your regrets. You find yourself asking "What would I do in that situation?" And maybe you can't answer.

We're all haunted. We all have ghosts.

What's yours?
